Hi, thank you for viewing my Sales Info page. Here you can find information on what happens when you decide to purchase a painting from me.
The Product :
My paintings are all 100% original, one of a kind, painted by me, Karen M Smith. I use primed and stretched cotton or linen canvas, and quality paints. Each painting will come signed, and with a Certificate of Authenticity which you may register online.
Choosing the painting[s]:
You may choose from the "Available Art" page. Please feel free to ask questions about any of the paintings. You may want to measure the area in which you are planning to hang the art, if you haven't already, to determine if it is the correct size. Some paintings have already been framed, and others haven't. If you choose a painting with a frame, but would rather purchase the painting without it, you can let me know and I will remove it and discount the painting price accordingly.
Q. What about the paintings in the "Gallery" page?
A. Most of these paintings have already been sold. Available paintings are also included in the gallery, but you should visit the "Available Art" page for a complete list of currently available paintings.
Q. I would like to view the art in person, how or where could I do this?
A. Some paintings will be displayed at The Lapeer Art Association's Gallery 194. Please let me know which painting(s) you are interested in viewing, if they are not at the galley, we may be able to arrange a private showing.
Contact:
If you are interested in purchasing one or more of my available paintings you will first need to contact me. Please be sure to provide your email address in the space provided, and specify the painting(s) you are interested in purchasing. You should recieve a reply from me within one day.
Payment:
After you contact me and have decided which payment method you prefer, I will calculate and email you the total with S/H and instructions for payment.
I accept credit card and echeck payments through Paypal, Money Orders, or other certified funds. If paying with Paypal, after initial contact, I will send you a Paypal request for payment. Paypal is a quick, easy and secure way of paying. Now Paypal does not require you to open an account with them to use their services. If you decide to pay with a method other than Paypal, I will email instructions to you.
Shipping:
Sometimes I offer specials like "Free Shipping within the US and Canada". In this case shipping is free and includes insurance and tracking. If there are no specials at the time, the shipping and handling charge will cover packaging materials*, actual postage cost, tracking, and any other related expenses. Insurance is required. Shipping costs are usually between $15.00 and $35.00 for the shipment of one painting within the US, depending on the size. It is usually not much more for shipping more than one painting together in the same box. I prefer to ship USPS Priority within the US, and use UPS or Fedex services for International shipping.
*Packaging materials are special sized boxes that I have to order to ship the artwork, and may also be any other materials used such as packaging peanuts etc.
Shipments are mostly made Mondays through Fridays. I usually do not ship on Saturdays.
Returns:
I fully guarantee my artwork. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, please notify me upon reciept. Artwork must be returned within 3 days of reciept, in original condition, preferably with a shipping tracking number. Refunds will be made upon my reciept and inspection of the returned artwork, less original S/H or return S/H. Buyer is responsible for any return shipping charges.
